** Hana Nai'a only uses organic or wild crafted Essential Oils from the purest sources, never "fragrance" or alcohol.
All of our products are blended by hand with love and Aloha in Hawai'i. The ingredients we use are pure and free from dangerous chemicals. Our surfactants (used in the base of our shampoo and body wash products) are made in Germany at a facility that creates ONLY plant based raw materials. They are all nitrogen, ethylene oxide, and paraben free!
Our essential oils come from all over the world and are free of harmful chemicals and pesticides. We do not use preservatives in any of our products. Because of this, our shampoo, scrub, and lotion products are considered fresh if they are used within 6 months. Massage oils are shelf safe for 2 years and essential oils for much longer depending on storage conditions.
Hana Nai'a is highly committed to quality and all of the product batches we send to you are made up fresh daily. Because each batch is blended by hand certain batches may vary slightly in color and/ or aroma due to the climate, conditions, and location during the life and harvest of the plants used to make the essential oils.
Storage of products containing essential oils is also very important. You can refrigerate products to prolong freshness as well as storing in a cool (out of direct sunlit area). Our products stored in Miron Glass have special sun protection from the Miron UV Glass bottle. Always shake well before use and enjoy!
Hana Nai'a Organic and NO GMO Policy:
All of our products are free of pesticides and free of GMO ingredients (Genetically Modified). We label all ingredients as Organic when they can be "certified" as 100% Organic. However; rest assured that our "non-organic" wild crafted and all natural products are still of the very higest quality and free of contaminants.
Hana Nai'a Organic Jojoba (base oil for all blends)
Certified 100% USDA Organic Jojoba oil is a wax that acts directly against aging, moisturizes dry skin, nourishes hair, and prevents the accumulation of sebum. It helps in the renewal process of cells and increases skin elasticity, smoothness, and firmness. It is constituted of eicosanoic acid (66% to 71%), docosanoic acid (14% to 20%), and oleic acid (10% to 13%).
Jojoba oil also contains ceramides and flavonoids and vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant and protects the skin against free radicals.
Hana Nai'a Natural Surfactants:
Used in our body wash & shampoo products. Our Decyl Polyglucose, Laurel Polyglucose, Coco Polyglucose, and Coco Protein are fatty polyglucosides that are prepared by reacting cornstarch, glucose, and collagen with natural fatty acids. These products do not contain any solvents or Hydrotropes. They are gentle and mild.
Hana Nai'a Essential Oils:
Used in all of our products; all of the Essential Oils used in Hana Nai'a products are extracted using traditional methods. In fact, a large percentage of our oils are extracted using the same method by hand for over 100 years.
Our oils are 100% free of pesticides or other chemicals which can harm the user, land, or water.
All of our oils are 100% pure essential oils and are never "cut" with carrier oils or anything else.
Hana Nai'a will NEVER use the following ingredients. We consider them toxic.
